I asked my friend in the building and she said that she never goes to the meetings because she doesn't want to deal with this stuff. I don't blame her.
I will be finding reasons not to do any of what I'm asked to do, after telling her no again in person. Maybe just a flat, "I said initially I didn't want to do this. That is still the case. You'll have to find someone else. Sorry."
