I'm sorry you are having so much difficulty. I know when I replied to your introductory post, I said I don't have experience with internet addiction (except for PsychCentral!) But I do have too much experience with the kinds of explosive temper you describe. It is something that has haunted me my whole life. Sometimes I marvel that my wife has managed to put up with me all these years.

I know you wrote you've seen psychologists & psychotherapists but it hasn't worked. The thing is... at least from my perspective... therapy is a long-term process that takes place over a period of months & years, if it is going to be of any benefit at all. I personally have never found it to be of any great help. But, then, I never really stuck with it for the long haul either.

The bottom line here may be that what you're going to have to do is to consider getting on some medication to control your temper while continuing to work in therapy on more long term healing. I'm not on med's at this point. (I have been in the past.) But each time I have one of my little eruptions, I think perhaps I should be. At some point, I may decide it's necessary. Of course such things as getting plenty of exercise & perhaps establishing a daily meditation routine can sometimes help too.

I know internet sex addiction is a really difficult thing to deal with. Here are links to some articles, from PsychCentral's archives. Perhaps some of the information in them can be of some help:

I wish you well...
