I think it becomes challenging when you don’t live alone and your partner is different from you. My brother is married to a hoarder, periodically he reaches his limit how much he can put up with. Last year I thought they’ll get a divorce. When my sister in law was out of town, he and my younger nephew threw away half of their house. Ouch. It was bad.
Yes, I agree with this. I have strategies for handling my messiness that have worked for me. Do I ever think it will just be natural? No, certainly not, but I'm also not the messiest person on the planet. I have a level of disorganization I'm willing to accept. Although it's not really disorganized, it's just not typical. I know where everything is. Usually.
