What an amazing woman.....just think of all the pressures she must have fought to accomplish all that she has achieved. She had to be a very strong willed, determined woman who was very intelligent. I'm sure the men at that time she was in med school weren't all that supportive. It's hard enough for women these days to deal with the pressures of being accepted as a serious medical Dr student. I know back in the 70's when I was in college, it was the standard.....women are nurses, book keepers.....anything except for the professional positions.

I truely respect women of her day that have accomplished such a wonderful achievement so successfully & won the respect of everyone. Her list of achievements are amazing.....she had to have had a very special gift of knowledge & talent to just get through the schooling at the time along with the inner strength to not be discouraged by those I'm sure tried hard to keep her from doing what she did.

I love to hear stories of people like this who have contributed so much to our society & laid the successful groundwork for others to follow in her path.....thanks for sharing this wonderful story of such a wonderful woman....you were blessed to have actually known her & interfaced with her.

Debbie
