I have the gummies of melatonin in my home. 1 gummy is 2.5mg and I have taken 5mg. This actually came recommended for one of my sons by the pediatrician.
I have used it and actually I've grown fond of this supplement. I've taken prescription sleep aids before in the past. I don't find this as quick acting-thankfully and doesn't require me to have 8 hours blocked off like a prescription would. I find that I wake up feeling rested, focused and energetic.
Knowing about my own sleep disorder, I look at it as something to help regulate my sleep back to a steady plane. So, maybe I can take it for several nights in a row and then go without for several nights because it doesn't create that sense of need.
