InfiniteSadness, you are wise to see your doctor about chronic fatigue. There are many things that chronic fatigue can be a result of, besides depression: mono, narcolepsy, sleep disorders...etc. Make sure you get a full physical workup before determining that it is indeed depression.
I deal with chronic fatigue and have actually been using an energy management plan developed for narcoleptics (I am not diagnosed as such, but it still works). Try Googling narcolepsy non-med treatment, and suggestions for energy management come up.
