Not to mention, I have severe asthma and that they sometimes irritate my lungs to the point of a coughing fit is almost, I don't know, a complete disregard of my right to breathe.

I know that smoking is hard to quit, but it's not impossible. My own parents both quit cold turkey. Mom quit when she first knew she was pregnant with my older brother, her first born, and never picked them up again because she didn't want to both endanger us, or teach us that it was an okay thing to do and pick it up ourselves.

My grandfather also quit cold turkey, upon learning his lung had a precancerous spot on it. He hasn't looked back since, and now as a result of his near chain smoking days, has been put on a 24/7 hour supply of oxygen. He's actually slowly dying from his lungs being so full of tar and unable to drain fluid, that he can hardly breathe. Plus, they also took a toll on a valve in his heart, and it is now very leaky.

To put it bluntly, I get the addiction, I get it's a nasty thing, but it's no excuse to polute my own air, cause me labored breathing, and a chance at second hand smoke related cancer. It's killing my grandfather, is had my baby brother in it's grips, it's doing it's damage to my family as it is, I don't want to add to that list if I don't have to.
Yeah I after. Or when people smoke at a bus stop. It is rude.
