Selch was a successful investment banker working at a financial firm from 1994-2005. When his firm was undergoing series of mergers and acquisitons, Bank of America just about took over. Selch, understandably, had ongoing pent up frustration, but the tipping point came when his work friend was let go for refusing to accept lower compensation.

Selch stormed a corporate meeting among the executives (including his boss) and mooned them. He was initially written up by his own employer, but Bank of America (who absorbed his company) insisted that he get canned, so he was let go ultimately.

The moral of the story? Don't moon your boss. 99% of the employees woulda been let go immediately. Selch was among the 1% possibly bc very few people could do his job, but he was also ultimately canned.

My question is: 1) Did I get the right takeaway from the story?
2) Would that make a good story to tell children at story time? (Grimm's fairy tales style)
3) Had YOU ever been fired for GROSS misconduct? Cuz I have.
