Don't wonder who I am, if I judge you or care about you. I live in my office or in your imagination. Actually, I would like to be all things to you, in the grass in the sunshine, in the river I teach you to mediate next to, seeing yourself as the peaceful middle and your feelings as the white water ruffling the top. If you ask me, I will deny it, but when you are late I hover near the doorway, listening for you. Did I offend, miss something, hurt your feelings, go too far with my removal from you? I pretend I take you for granted and that I am impervious to the whims of you my patients, but in truth I too need you. I need you to see me as changing your life. When the hour comes but you do not, I search my phone for messages. We are not as different as I thought.
