Wow, I haven't had a "med tantrum" in years, but after lots and lots of hard work and a decent med combo, I feel pretty stable and confident that that feeling will last.
Soooo -- what are the criteria for being made to stay on meds indefinitely?
I certainly would like the hundreds of dollars per month they cost me back, and after over a decade on them, I worry about long-term effects. They really don't know what the more "modern" (1980s and forward) meds do to you long-term. I don't want to end up with worse problems because of them.
I just met a new pdoc and I don't see him again till the end of March, so I suppose this question will have to wait till then -- I just wondered if anybody had any ideas.
FWIW, my dx is bipolar 1 and PTSD.
