Oh my goodness...
I've been eyeballing this med. I recently saw an add for a drug called Contrave that is a combination of naltrexone and bupropion for weight loss. It is apparently the most popular weight loss drug at the moment (or so I read).
I happen to be on bupropion already, so I am on one half of this weight loss combo.
I did read that insomnia is one of the side effects. The good news is many side effects lessen or go away in time, so speaking for myself, I can endure side effects if I know they are short term as my body adjusts to a new med.
I have fifty pounds to lose, and they just seem to be stuck on me.
I would love to know if it helps you lose weight.
I was an extremely heavy user of pot, but have managed to be clean for about 12 weeks now. There is however no mention of naltrexone being useful for keeping you away from weed. My partner still uses, so there is pot in the house that I will have to keep my fingers away from. It would be nice to know it would help me in that department also just in case I ever weaken. We grew three six foot plants last year, so it was (and still is) very plentiful in our house. Not growing plants ever again. That much pot is ridiculous for someone prone to abusing the stuff, and I learned that the hard way.
