I think we do ultimately move on to a "higher plane" and we will have consciousness at some point. I am a Christian, so I believe those who die as Christians will be with the Lord. I go along with the seeing a light at the end of a tunnel reports and feeling the presence of loved ones.

I have not seen dead loved ones, but I have had significant, comforting dreams about them soon after they have died. I know people who have seen loved ones, though, and have talked to them.

It will be good, I think. I think we can take comfort. (My mom just died in February and I have lost many other relatives and friends. I know I will see them again.)
