I have most certainly seen my fair share of the devastation and ensuing grief that alcoholism brings. Not only on the addict , but those around them who are mostly powerless to help. Please try to be the hero of your own life story cryingontheinside....just keep saying NO to destructive habits, and keep an eye out for small joys.
