I didn't do a diet with a name, though I did it the "MyFitnessPal (mfp) way". I use their app and web site to track the calories in everything I eat and compute calories in exercise I do as well as likely bas calories for me. That tells you if you are eating less calories than you burn, in which case you will lose weight. If you aren't, then you adjust portions or make different food choices to get the toal low enough to lose weight. I lost 63 pounds since last summer and now I am using it to try to stay at the same weight.
