Yeah, I sometimes pay attention to how they are with the buddy horses. Though tonight, my last-minute picks came in 19th, 20th, and I think maybe 7th? So, uh, don't take any betting advice from me! I still watch any race with dread since the race (not a Triple Crown event, but a major one in our area) I saw in person like 10 years ago, where I bet on a horse that my friend's father owned, it took a bad step in the race, then got put down on the course. I was sobbing when I realized what happened, then had to leave. Finally, this year I managed to place a bet again in that race, but with horrible guilt. (The horse didn't die.) But still, it's like I want to watch the race, but am scared about what will happen...
