The effexor took about 2 - 3 weeks before I noticed it having any real impact on my depression. I got full benefit at about 6 weeks.
Clonazapam is one of the slower acting antianxiety meds. You don't get the immediate calming effect that you get with say Ativan, but it stays in your system longer so you don't get big crashes either. I went from Ativan to Clonazapam gradually so I'm not sure how long it took before it had any effect on me.
