I'm just gonna put this out there... similar to what was mentioned above, but, battery operated trimmer, even the ones you might use for a dog or cat... is pretty easy, if you don't care about it being 100% smooth like waxing. Personally the idea of a stranger waxing down there is terrifying, I don't think you could pay me enough to do it...

"handheld" mirror- you can put it on the floor, and / or use a full length mirror on the wall.
