We (my daughter and I) love Wakikki beach. We swam at night in the ocean, which was so cool. They hauled in sand and built a rock wall to retain it all in, which keeps the water warmer and smooth (the water is noticeably choppy and cold on the other side of the wall, which you can’t see so watch your toes). It is slightly terrifying to swim on the wrong side of the wall at night.

In the day, it was....not so great. That island is not as beautiful as Maui. But you know what? You can just hop a plane to the other islands and do a relaxing bus tour! Kauai is so nice!

Air tours are super fun too.

I haven’t been for many years. It sounds so good.
