Hello. To be honest golden_eve, I think the universe does set us up sometimes. Too many coincidences for me to put down to chance. I mean there's even the old saying 'bad luck comes in threes'. I don't know if you have spiritual beliefs but maybe the hardships are opportunities for learning and growth like a lot of people believe. But whatever the case, looking at it from that perspective seems to give it a bit of meaning as opposed to just plain old bleakness - to me. Anyway, I can relate to what you're saying.
