Well, you see, I pray to God -- somewhat frequently. I am more spiritual than religious, but I think sometimes when people pray and things go all wrong, it's easy to start believing that you've done something wrong or like God is not on your side and to take it personally. At least that is how it is for me.

I really like mote of soul's suggestion to try and learn something from the challenges, which I what I often hear in spiritual circles. And not to turn this into a conversation about God or make it into something more religious, but I do pray, so I suppose that lends to my thinking as well.
