I generally find that when I try to tell my anxiety that it's not welcome I just end up feeling worse. Your anxiety is trying to protect you, even if it's being very misguided.
I know it might seem obvious, but would it be possible to go somewhere quiet and take some time and space to just breathe? Or is there something nice you could do as a distraction?

It's basically scaring me about stuff I can do nothing about, like the latest events that are on the news, like the whole America and Iran thing

I'm trying to distract myself in chat and on the forum, idk yet if it's working or if I should step away from the computer and go do something else
