I have done "staycations" frequently where all I do is the things I enjoy, in my home, and decompress. Traveling during a vacation is fine. That can be fun. Sometimes you just want time to enjoy what you've been working so hard for.

If someone asks what you're doing and they think it's weird, just act like they're the weird one for never having spent some time enjoying their own home. It's no one's place to judge what you do with your vacation time.
