I don't why people have an issue with that, I know plenty of people that do staycations.

My boss just took two weeks off and stayed home. She said it was great to be able to sleep in, not have to conform to a schedule and get some things done around the house like organizing and cleaning.

My husband did the same between Christmas and New Year's, since he had more time off accumulated than me. He took care of some errands that he could only do during work hours and relaxed the rest of the time..

If someone has an issue with that, it's their problem, not yours. Enjoy the break. It certainly sounds like you've earned it.
