One reason I won't be taking them. The truth is that I am really dubious of the cholesterol causes heart / strokes issues theory.

The truth is, that I recently found out, that stroke is cause primarily by other things. About 40% afib and about 20% heart defects. Heart attacks they still aren't entirely sure but they are sure that plenty of people with low cholesterol still have them.

Your body needs cholesterol for many things. Recently I heard a theory out of brazil that IMHO sounds pretty good. That heart attack is caused by a weak heart. Heart is the only organ that is also a muscle. When a muscle is not getting enough nutrients cells slough off -- this forms blockages around the heart -- but if you give it what it needs cells won't slough off. These are called..."Cardiotonic Agents. Agents that have a strengthening effect on the heart or that can increase cardiac output." There are many things that you can take, including Magnesium, but also YOUR BODY MAKES natural cardiotonics from cholesterol.

Seems obvious then that cholesterol reducers aren't helping.
