I love it! That's exactly what I'm talking about. Your adventures sound thrilling, and they all have specialized skills... Side note, I watched the show a couple of times years back and I laughed uncontrollably when one of them (Skwisgaar, I think) was pouting and whined: "I want to be in a bad mood!" Now I say it often. Tell me to cheer up, will you?

Oh yes. I will come all kinds of hither.

I used to write down my history with characters. Not fanfiction; although I did/do write fanfiction, I never appear in it. This would be more like a journal: who I am, how we met, our intimate times, etc. I don't have my Bikini Bottom journal anymore (aw, barnacles!), but Squidward and I have been on and off for many years, and the story has grown and developed.

I'm a colleague of Sandy's, a rabbit, researching anthropology. And what better place to soak up some undersea culture than chez Tentacles? Sure, being from opposite sides of the surface makes things tricky, but we manage. Considering this started when I was 12, I'm kind of amused that we were from different worlds, and I wasn't just a fellow sea critter. There's probably something significant in there somewhere.

As for Squiddy, under the layers of apathy and sarcasm he uses to protect himself, is the passion he has for his music and art. All he needs is someone to share that passion. He's inexperienced due to keeping others at a distance. But being a dancer who loves to be pampered, he's a fast learner! It usually ends up being all about him (I mean, when is it not?) and I'm the pursuer, but it works for us.
