Does name-calling always lead to physical abuse?

It did in a past relationship. I took the ring off, left, and never talked to him again.

Now, it's happening again - and again with a fiancé. Is it me? I try to be understanding and loving. Since he wasn't like this before I don't think I'm "choosing the wrong guys" but just unlucky.

Any advice would help...
