I'm thinking about my future. Right now I'm close to finishing my degree in general sciences, but I don't feel competent.

I'm thinking of finishing my degree in a year and then going to dental hygiene school for 2 years and be a dental hygienist for a while.

I say for a while because I may go back to school and do something else and find an even better job.

Dental hygiene sounds good to me because it is science related and I like science. I'm also geniunely interested in dental heatlh. I also hear that this job is flexible and that might make going to uni part time a possiblity.

I worry that it's a physically demanding job.

Is anyone a dental hygienist? What are the good and bad things about this job?

I doubt I'll be a dental hygienist my whole life, but it's something I'll like to learn more about.
