I am really shocked to hear that. What made her come to that conclusion when she hasn't even got to know you yet?

I personally would be very leery of any professional that would hand out a serious diagnosis like that in the first meeting.I would definitely seek out a second opinion.
When I called to make the appointment, I spoke with someone who asked me to briefly describe what was happening. I told her. She is a Forensic Psychologist, she has awesome reciews. Typically I wpuld be leary as well, my appointment was LONG, 3.5 hours. It wasn't just lets talk for 15 to 20 min and this is what you have. If I were uncomfortable I would run and not look back. After talking to my wife last night and telling her in detail what she said, she (wife) said this makes complete sense. My wife is going next appointment to ask questions, etc. That makes me feel good that she wants to be a part of it.
