After talking to my wife last night and telling her in detail what she said, she (wife) said this makes complete sense. My wife is going next appointment to ask questions, etc. That makes me feel good that she wants to be a part of it.
I am glad you feel confident about this psychologist and I do hope she works out for you.

I personally would still feel leery of being given such a dx in the first meeting even though it was a long appointment.I personally don't feel DID is something that can be diagnosef that quickly, especially without getting to know the client and without first ruling out other MH problems.

I guess I just don't understand how this psychologist can with certainty diagnose someone with it in such a short amount of time. How would they even know whether a person is experiencing a different illness if they havent met them befote, haven't had time to observe them and are basing it on what they are being told? Many times ppl may think they have something but it turns out they are way off.

I am just concerned not judging. And as I said I hope this psychologist works out for you.
Thanks for this!
