Oh my gosh. Black flies??? They have those in the Adirondacks and they are tiny but their bites leave these big red itchy welts. It reminds me of a time my family went to up there when I was a child (we went every summer). There were black flies everywhere and all over our clothes, lol. I thought it was kind of cool. My mom did not.
