I agree, example of good skin care is best. Wash, moisturizer, then the fun stuff. My dd was getting up in the morning & trying to do makeup.....wouldn’t listen to my suggestions at all. Teenager.
So we wento Ulta beauty type store & someone sat with her & explained how to take care of her skin. What products to use & then how to apply a light makeup especially consealer. It was educational for me too. She was tickled someone was complimenting her & telling her she didn’t need much!
So she has kept up with taking care of her face especially with breakouts. She also wears stage makeup for theatre & she has some good product to get it off properly.

I think she felt empowered by it which thrilled me. I learned about makeup on the back of the school bus watching other girls. We’ve used YouTube also especially applying the right techniques for her eye shape. She has hooded eyes & knowing your eye shape makes a difference how to apply eye shadow too. Ummmm I didn’t know this till a few yrs ago.....& I didn’t know how to tight line either so I learn something new every day!
