I've tried listening to some "Schlager" collections on Google Music, and if that's representative, then it's not so far from the Russian definition... and a couple generations too late for me. I know music doesn't work like that, but I can really see my mother or grandmother rocking out to those songs. Not me, though.

Well... And I found my pick of Spanish music exactly the same way - by searching for "Spanish rock"... Well, maybe not exactly the same. I guess I'll try that.
