Our Healthcare here where I live really sucks. The state where I moved from 12 years ago had wonderful Dr.s . I feel very lucky to have found my Dr. with the insurance I have here. I was afraid that I was going to have to be seen at the Mental Health Clinic. If I had been seen there, I would have seen an intake coordinator, then Psychiatrist for 15 to 20 minutes who goes only by symptoms and no testing. A diagnosis would have been made and then they start on Meds. Then you get to see a counselor the next appointment only 30 minutes at a time. I know this to be true because we have a family member that had to go that route. They heard them in and out like cattle. For some, it's their only option. It sucks. I had ALL of my medical records transferred to my Psychologist. I have had recent extensive lab work done weekly up until a month ago because of an infection that I received from surgery, I have had an MRI, MRA, C Scan, Xray and seen a Neurologist/ Neurosurgeon. I have had pretty much every type of test ran except a Mammogram. I feel like my bases are covered. When she spent what I considered to be a long time with me I was happy with the time she set aside.
