Hello everyone,
Today I went to the hospital to visit my daughter. She is now medically clear. The hospital had a bed in their behavioral health area. They had security take us the the unit. Me and my youngest daughter waited outside. My daughter K called me asking why they would not let her leave. I told her it’s the law. She started screaming and yelling. I told K to calm down or their going to sedate you. The phone hung up. I was sitting right outside the unit doors. I could hear her screaming. Three security officers came down the hall and went through the doors. A few minutes later a staff member came out. He told me she was upset and did not want to stay. The staff person said we could not see K today. Then gave me a paper and said come back Tuesday for family therapy. Two hours later my daughter K called. She was processing everything that happened with her boyfriend. I told her she needed to focus on getting better. Then try to go to college.
