Tonight was my daughters high school graduation. I was “elected” to take everyone out to dinner afterwards. I cannot imagine the calories I have ate this evening. I will be walking it off the rest of this week. I was doing fine with my calorie intake until this happened. One seasoned ribeye steak, one sweet potatoe with the trimmings, Caesar salad, and 1.5 slices of cake.

12,243 steps today. I walked 4.29 miles burning 470 calories. I not only walked up that long hill, but after coming down from it, I also walked an additional mile. My performance stats are not worth mentioning. This gives me a target of 2,564 calories. I have consumed approximately 3,700 calories. I probably am overestimating here. Still this is allot of calories. This makes me over by 1,136 calories. So let’s say 100 calories a mile walked. We are talking about taking me over 11 miles to walk this off. Not good. I will start tomorrow.

Carrying this over lets say three days, this means walking about my usual 4 miles a day, but maintaining a calorie count let’s say one hundred over baseline of just about 2200 calories a day. Normally this would be over 2500 calories a day for this total exercise. So in three days I will make up over 900 calories of this overage of 1,136. I imagine at the end of this being a couple hundred short will not cause the ground to shake here. All of this will make my “make up for the day I was a pig” goal more doable. No more dessert for the time being. I can always help fill myself up with tastey antipasto salads which are only 344 calories each.
