My friend asked me why I stayed with Fred. She had a boyfriend who was similar when we were the same age. I said that a lot of boys must get insecure with their first serious girlfriend . I think more so where intimacy is involved. I only said the first part.
But hers wasn't violent and threatening like Fred. I said that you take the good with the bad, especially if you have been in hospital. I was no longer perfect. I never was perfect but I had a condition, I had been unwell. So I accepted a not so perfect relationship.
