Do they judge men on certain criteria if they do contemplate sitting next to them? And if they the man doesn’t pass the test, women then choose to stand instead?
I think this is one thing that women do do, but they don’t want to admit.

I'm intrigued to find out, Luke, what you imagine is going on in women's minds. It sounds like you imagine women look around on a bus or a train like they were at a bar or in a club.
As an aside, are you aware that most women have been molested at one time or another by some guy somewhere on public transportation. I've been felt up, bothered for money, had a guy fall into my lap. I just want to get where I'm going, seated, if possible.
Here's another tidbit: Many women in healthcare will not wear "scrubs" on public transport because of the asinine attention their uniform attracts from men.
