I have a laptop that is about 18 months old. It's had an issue with the power cord going bad every three months. It was replaced three times under warranty and I purchased TWO after the warranty period was over. Less than three months later the power cord is bad again.

I did some research, this is not a unique problem there are pages and pages of people having the same problem. I contacted customer service and asked specifically if there was an issue with this machine and this power cords. Customer service stated that the problem was fixed and I would not have any more problems. Since this was an online chat, I have that comment in writing. That was November 6th.

The beginning of January I get the blue screen of death, that happened because the power cord was bad an unable to recharge the battery and the computer had no power.

Customer service is now unwilling to discuss this. They are sorry for my trouble, but if I would like to purchase a new cord they'll connect me to sales! What has happened to customer service these days?
