I haven't read it nor seen the movie. Nothing new to me
Quantum physics has proven what they call "the observer effect" in that what you expect to see is what will happen. (Not that you create hallucinations mind you.)
I can draw substantial items into my life, and often use it as a game to keep my mind sharp. I began with expecting to find a yellow ball in my front yard, years ago. There were no children in the neighborhood, in fact not even all the lots were developed. I think it took 2 weeks and one morning on my way to physical therapy, after daily "intending" to find the yellow ball: there it was, in my front yard.
I can't do this when I am overly stressed (allowing things to bother me) nor is it as effective if I eat meat.
