Well everyone my daughter K had court today. The hospital psychiatrist recommended she receive longer treatment at another facility. K had a court appointed attorney. The told the judge that K was wanting to return to work and her apartment. That she had her mom as a support system. I was sitting in the back of the court room. K spoke to the judge and told her that she was mad at her friend for having her committed. But she’s not anymore because she was correctly diagnosed and put on the correct medication. The judge paused for a few seconds then said “I think you should stay a little longer”. K took it graciously. The next hospital they are taking her to I have been in. This particular faculty holds their court at the hospital. I spoke to the attorney he said now they will usually keep a person 3-5 days longer.
