I'm curious to hear about any other experiences of hanging onto the inner child and how you may have done that.

This was very powerful and because I could rescue and hold and comfort her, she became not so scared. She was finally "seen" after all these years--what a relief! And so healing. How lonely and scared she had been. After I went through this, I didn't have to apply effort to hang onto her. She wasn't running away or slipping from my memory. Because she trusted me.

MissCharlotte, where does your child go when you do not hang onto her? Is she inaccessible to you?
