I know I am an alcoholic, have been sober almost eight years. I attend meetings, have a sponsor, etc but it has dawned on me that many of the recollections common to most people have in the rooms I cannot pinpoint in my own life prior to recovery. Almost as though I can't relate. Very strange but am I denying my own alcoholism in a way? Would really love your thoughts on this.
