I agree with the posters here who say that that depression can do this.
If you have the luxury of time, one thing you can do is note how you feel during the day and see if there is a part of the day when you are less tired or less anxious, and try to use that time for something.
When I was low, I found that I felt a little better at early evening after sleeping all day . I didn't push myself, I waited until my better time and then went for a walk .
I have a friend with M.E. who only gets three hours a day when he can get around. We tend to meet in his 'window' and then he has to rest again.
I guess we all work with what we have.
