When I started elementary school, there was this one popular girl and her clique. Everybody worshipped this girl and thought she was so adorable, how she still sucked her thumb. Some kids even started sucking their thumbs to be like her!

I was unpopular and bullied by this clique. I observed this girl’s behavior and thought about how I could be like her and then I would be adored. But, it didn’t work. And, at least, I wasn’t sucking my thumb like a lemming!

Even if I tried, I could not capture the attributes of whatever made this girl special, and me not.

I discovered acting shortly after. This was the way to invent a new character to be! What a great outlet for someone who likes to mimic! Have you thought about taking an acting class to further develop this “talent”?
