I've seen this happen numerous times, I do it too, and all I see that happens is that someone suggests we take it to Adult so that we don't upset anyone. Or we realize we're treading the line and so someone mentions it and everyone goes, oh yeah, cool, we'll shift focus...I haven't seen anyone freak out because a topic comes up, I think people only get upset when they are asked to take it to another room and won't. There are people who literally the first thing they do when they come in the Coffeehouse is start in on something totally controversial or upsetting, like immediately talking about how they are suicidal, instead of coming in and asking for support and then going to ES.

Things often come up in the flow of chat and I haven't seen it be an issue unless it starts to get too deep into it and someone asks for people to take it to Adult or ES, and the others refuse (which also is pretty rare).
