From time to time I will wake up having a nocturnal panic attack. I will wake up feeling my heart racing, feeling like I am having a heart attack, having tingling and numb sensations, heaving breathing and feeling short on breath as well, as if I'm being choked. I believe this stems from having sleep apnea. I will also feel a sense of impending doom and will even lock my door or be ready to hide for cover to protect myself. Or I will be so fearful to walk by something that I will feel almost paralyzed if I feel that something will cause me harm in any way. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you deal with it? It is so annoying and frightening at times. I hate waking up feeling that way.
