Murderers and thieves do get away with it from time to time, and even if they don't they don't always end up being taken out of society for their entire lives, especially people committing minor crimes like theft will end up back in society and either commit more crimes or straighten up. That's the reality of it unfortunately.

The same would be true in a mental abuse case. The most extreme abusers may get life in prison, but anything less than the most extreme would end up back on the streets eventually. When you say you want to kick them out of society either I'm misunderstanding you or you're talking about something more extreme than what we have now and it doesn't seem realistic, though I'm not necessarily saying it's bad either.

I'm all for punishing metal abusers, but I'm trying to point out that something too extreme is just not going to fly in reality. That's why I mentioned a utopia, because something of that level reminds me of a book I read about a utopia and in it they were very extreme towards crime.
