I wouldn't consider that laziness. I would consider that, self aware. Doesn't sound like the hours are a good fit. And that's ok. Early mornings are not for everyone, I mean that with sincerity and lacking any ounce of judgement.
I would not have ever considered my 7am start time a couple of years ago. I had built up a tolerance because around 3 years ago a parent liason figure in my kids school district mentioned waking up at 530 to have time for herself to get her and her kids going at a smooth pace for their school days which are at 730. So when this internal job opportunity came up, it was no longer about whether I could function, but could I shift my kids a tad. My boss mentioned 430 to have her own time getting started with her own day. I tried that out and I'm not going to kid you, sometimes I feel like I'm on heartbreak hill running a matathon, but the point is...it's about finding a fit with hours as much as anything.
