I believe that we have a brain disorder of unknown origin. Personally I have several illnesses that are suspected to be brain and or nervous system related including the BPD. I do think that a high percentage of us were abused and that for many of us, the abuse exacerbated the brain disorder which manifested itself as BPD. At the same time though, there are those who just have the brain disorder with little or no abuse. Of course, this is only my opinion and I am not a medical professional. So there’s that.
