Yes.
Containment has been so so helpful for me.
I’ve been working with my counselor for over 5 years and it’s wasn’t until just the last year that it was something that I could actually “do”.’
It’s still hard for me to get to that place by myself and he helps me get there and helps me get other parts into that “safe” place. Hopefully, one day I will be able to get there on my own.
He knows my safe place and if he can tell I’m not in a good place he will help me get there. He talks me there and I can see it then and feel the safety and containment - away from the bad place.
